The Midnight Shift

Unable to make it to regular meetings but still want to help out? Get passionate in your own time by joining the Midnight Shift! We are looking for people to write climate change articles with a local focus. Some examples:

How much water are we using to generate electricity for coal in Victoria?

Which local, state and federal government-funded organisations in Moreland are not using renewable energy (who’s hot and who’s not)?

Where Moreland succeeds and fails with cycle lanes and public transport in the fight against climate change.

…..or whatever issues you feel passionate about relating to climate change. Get involved, learn more, spread the word and be proud to be a Climate Action Moreland volunteer! Email us if you are interested in getting involved.

Switch off Coal. Switch on Renewables. September 12-13

You can  volunteer to help with some leafleting in the Moreland area, particularly of train stations.

Please help leaflet the following stations on the following days from 7-8.30am:

Wednesday 26 August  – Coburg station
Thursday 27 August – Essendon station
Wednesday 2 September – Brunswick station
Thursday 3 September – Moonee Ponds station
Wednesday 9 September – city station
Thursday 10 September – city station

If anyone wants to leaflet a different station or leaflet one of these stations on a different day, people can let me know so that we don’t double up. People can also leaflet their tram.

Please call Sue on  0413-377-798.
