Climate Action Moreland is partnering with some great presenters, running a workshop this Sunday to re-educate our elected representatives. We want every MP to know what we’ve known for years. That it is possible to have 100% renewable electricity and you can do it by 2020.
This training session has been developed to provide the skills we’ll need to effectively meet with and re-educate our politicians. They’ll be guest speakers from Beyond Zero Emissions, the Climate Action Centre and Environment Victoria.
If you’ve ever been so mad at the stupid things your politicians do that you wanted to take action, but wasn’t quite sure how to go about it – then this is for you. And with two elections this year your influence will never be stronger.

Educating MPs training
Sunday 20th June, 9am to 11:45am
Coburg Library, Victoria St, Coburg.
The keynote speakers are Damien Lawson from the Climate Action Centre and Louise Matthieson from Environment Victoria.
Mark Ogge from Beyond Zero Emissions and Climate Action Moreland and James Tonson from Beyond Zero Emissions will be comparing the event.
In his previous role as political advisor to Greens MPs, Damien Lawson has sat through lots of lobbying meetings. His advice is very useful and he’s a fantastic and inspiring speaker.
Louise Matthieson has experience lobbying state and federal politicians during the successful campaign to end broadscale land clearing in Queensland. She’ll give us the good oil on how to have constructive meetings and relationships with Members of Parliament.
It will be interactive and practically oriented, leaving you feeling enthusiastic and confident about meeting MPs.
The workshop is open to all members of Climate Action Groups and others concerned about climate change as well as Climate Action Moreland members.
Please RSVP to merrynredenbach@gmail.com with your name, email address, phone number, state and federal electorates and sitting member’s names if known.
