Both of the major parties are trying to sweep climate change off the election agenda, but CAM has noticed the bulge under the carpet and we’re doing our bit to pull it out! Over 70% of Australians support action to tackle climate change, but you wouldn’t guess it from the policies of Labor and Liberal.
So if you’re annoyed about the election, Climate Action Moreland is giving you a chance to get involved and get even! The two biggest things you can put your hand up for are:
If you want to help make a difference this election we need people who can letterbox and and handout Vote Climate flyers.
The Vote Climate campaign is an initiative of the Climate Action Centre and four inner city climate action groups, Yarra Climate Action Now, Darebin Climate Action Now, Inner North Climate Change Community and Climate Action Moreland. The campaign has produced a scorecard rating the performance of Labor, Liberal and the Greens on climate change. You can check out the scorecard here: http://www.voteclimate.net/scorecard
This scorecard will be handed out at stalls and shopping centres and dropped in letterboxes across the seat of Melbourne.
