Andrea Bunting from Climate Action Moreland on the Panel discussing issues raised from An Inconvenient Sequel film screening
Climate Action Moreland and Moreland Energy Foundation (MEFL) co-organised a film screening of Al Gore’s latest film: ‘An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power’ at Coburg Town Hall. It was a free event but with registration. 300 seats were booked, the capacity of the event. But on the night we still had some vacant seats with about 220 people attending.
It was a ninety minute film, and perhaps 30 people left immediately after the film ended, but most people stayed to hear the discussion and questions and answers.
Andrea Bunting from @CAMoreland was part of the discussion panel after the film screening along with Moreland Cr Dale Martin, CERES CEO Cinnamon Evans, MEFL CEO Alison Rowe.
Federal Labor MP Peter Khalil, who had been invited to be on the panel was a late apology. It would have been good to have him on the panel as our Federal MP.
Interest and concern with climate action is still high in Moreland, and this is reflected in the level of activity and leadership by Moreland Council, in the programs of the Moreland Energy Foundation, the education programs of the CERES Community Environment Park, and our own group.
