Pascoe Vale projected average temperatures for 2050

Australian Conservation Foundation have released a report on the electorates most at risk of climate change impacts in the lead up to the #climateelection. National Party electorates predominate and are most at risk of climate damages.

But here in Moreland the impacts of rising temperature and reduced rainfall will also be felt.

We have a climate crisis and all politicians need to address climate policy issues about climate emergency planning, including Will’s Federal Labor MP Peter Khalil. Although Peter has signed the climate emergency declaration, and given Climate Action Moreland a statement that he opposes Adani, he needs to be much more forthright in his public statements and support for climate emergency action.

The 1960-1990 average daily maximum for Pascoe Vale was 19.8C.

If we don’t stop the climate damage by 2050 average daily maximum projected to be 22.7C, that’s 2.9C hotter.

How we presently experience winter will no longer exist. Extreme summer temperatures will be 3.2C hotter than 1960-1990 summer average.

We will have on average 23% less rain.

We will see up to 59 days over 30C, 27 days more than 1960-1990 average, and 12 days over 40C, which is 11 days more than the 1960-1990 average.
